Surreal Sunset Elopement in the Dolomites at Tre Cime

Sometimes, you just have to celebrate getting married by eloping in the Italian Dolomites on a mountain. 😍

It can look like – staying in a cozy chalet nestled in the Dolomites, eating pizza by an alpine lake, exchanging vows surrounded by the towering summits of Tre Cime, marveling as warm light bathes the most majestic peaks you’ve ever seen, and then staring at a sky of brilliant stars in wonder (just before the clouds roll in). 

Was that last paragraph just one long run on sentence? Definitely. 

Was that exactly what Erin + Zach did during their Dolomites elopement at Tre Cime? Also, yes, and it was positively magical. 

From the very beginning, we truly felt this pair’s excitement to co-create something that felt like an experience. And on the day of, that’s exactly what it felt like. Erin said at the end of the night, ‘’this was life changing’’. 

We believe that the mountains and quality time outdoors can do that for everyone. And, building core memories together in a place that you’re experiencing together for the first time is a part of that. 

While ‘’perfect’’ weather is never a guarantee, and sometimes, you just have to roll with bumps in the trail, don’t forget this – the journey is the experience, so don’t forget to have fun in the process.

Sunset Elopement at Tre Cime, Dolomites Timeline

This elopement experience in the Dolomites included a couple of different locations, ranging from easy access to hike-in. The hiking portion allowed Erin + Zach to enjoy greater privacy and seclusion for their sunset mountain ceremony in the Dolomites, really feeling like they had the mountains all to themselves. • 1:15 pm – Getting Ready coverage at your accomodation
• 2:15 pm – First look at the chalet you’re staying at
• 2:45 pm – Leave accommodation + pick up pizza for picnic
• 3:30 pm – Pizza picnic at the lake + exploring
• 5:00 pm – Drive to trailhead for ceremony location
• 5:30 pm – Arrive at the trailhead and begin hiking
• 7:00 pm – Arrive at the ceremony area and pick an exact location
  • Freshen up
  • Ceremony
  • Exploring + snacks/evening meal
  • Sunset portraits 
• 9:15 pm – Begin hiking back toward the parking lot. 
• 10:30 pm – Arrive back at the parking lot – visit a nearby area for stargazing
• 11:30 pm – Wrap up and say goodbyes. You’re married 🥳
