Two unforgettable days with two incredible folks exploring some of our favorite corners of the Bernese Alps in Switzerland. From crystal clear alpine lakes and sweeping green mountains to rocky and rugged terrain…it was just the best of the best for Tatyana and Jason’s elopement.
When Tatyana and Jason reached out about a year ago, I immediately loved their enthusiasm to do something unique and their desire to spend a few days enjoying a variety of Swiss experiences. While we did so much with the two days we had…it also flew by way too quickly!
While there were many highlights of Tatyana and Jason’s elopement, our personal favorites were the out-of-this-world sunrise we got on Day 2 (in one of my favorite places in the world and a dream location I’ve wanted to shoot at for five years now and finally got to!), along with the absolutely terrifying ride up (and down) one of Europe’s steepest funiculars. Oh, and the endless purple wildflowers that matched Tatyana’s hiking attire perfectly. We also got incredibly lucky with the weather. While it did rain and storm throughout their adventure, we were able to tweak the timing of their locations to align with the weather forecast.
Our brains are still buzzing from the experience, making it hard to narrow down what made the experience what it was. What can be said easily though is- wow, we’re so grateful for this job, the people it connects us with, and the experiences and places we get to share with our couples. Running an elopement photography + videography business comes with plenty of challenges…but the reward of it is something pretty hard to beat. ♥
This adventure elopement in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps included a unique first look spot at Hotel Villa Honegg, and three separate hikes that took them away from the crowds. They wanted ”off the beaten path” Switzerland, and created a unique, two-day experience that gave them exactly that. You can check out Tatyana + Jason’s elopement timeline overview below.
”If we could give them 10 stars we would! From our first interactions with Christine and Scott, we knew that they were exactly what we were looking for for our elopement. All of the steps of the process, from initial planning materials to delivery of our album, showed a level of professionalism and care that truly went above and beyond what we expected. Beyond their quality of work and depth of knowledge about the region, Scott and Christine are such genuine and fun people – spending our two-day elopement with them felt like hanging out with good friends. We are so happy that we found them and will cherish our memories (and our incredible photos and video) forever.”
