When Emily reached out to me about eloping in Switzerland, she told me something that has stuck ever since.
It wasn’t really about the scenery (although that certainly played a role). More than anything, it was about chasing a feeling. Recreating the kind of magic that Switzerland had already given her and Brice once before on a favorite trip. That reason has to be one of my favorites – because honestly, there are so many places you can go that will certainly be beautiful…but when you prioritize the feel (read: experience) it becomes so much more.
Over the course of a year, I helped Emily and Brice plan their two-day micro wedding experience, and somehow, we managed to pack in just about every version of Switzerland into 48 hours.
Day 1 with family brought warm, sunny skies and green classic Swiss scenery. We took a cable car ride up to a lake with their parents, where they shared a ceremony led by their family and handwritten vows. Afterward, lunch at a mountain hut and refreshingly cold drinks (it was a toasty day, despite the forecast calling for possible snow just a day or two later). From there, we continued higher up the mountain where everyone ooh’d and ahhh’d over the view 😍
Later, Emily + Brice parted ways with their family to continue on their own personal adventure. The night ended in spectacular stargazing, and more than a few shooting stars.
Day 2 was in many ways, the opposite of Day 1. We traded greenery for rugged, rocky, high alpine terrain, glaciers, and moody clouds rolling in and out. We had swapped locations last minute due to a very wet and foggy forecast, visiting a spot that had a similar type of landscape to their initial plan, but would stay mostly dry. The hike was stunning, and the dark skies only made it more surreal.
A little bit of everything – that’s the Alps for you 🥰
I’m so grateful for these two for trusting the process from start to finish and just truly being wonderful human beings.
Emily Brice enjoyed two vastly different types of Swiss scenery across two days. The first part was spent among green mountains and turquoise alpine lakes near Engelberg. The second part they traded that for rocky, rugged mountains and glaciers. The best of both worlds. You can check out Emily + Brice’s elopement timeline overview below.
Day 1:
Day 2
”If we could give Christine 10/5 stars, we would!! From start to finish, Christine was the best elopement photographer (and PLANNER!!).
Leading up to the elopement, Christine was very attentive in listening to what we wanted out of our day(s) and building us a spectacular plan. The locations she chose in the Swiss Alps were both stunning and off the beaten pat. It was evident she knew her stuff on where to go, what to do, where to stay, etc. She was available any time we had questions in the months leading up to the event and was always thorough and kind in her responses.
Day(s) of (we did a two day experience!), Christine was punctual, easy, and did a great job of guiding us around whilst also making it feel like “OUR time”. She was easygoing and let us move at our own pace and really soak things in. On the second day, she went the extra mile and offered to drive us since we were quite exhausted from Day 1. After riding through crazy Swiss Alps fog with her, we can confidently say her driving skills are as good as her photography skills!
All in all, we cannot recommend her enough. She also captured the most beautiful, stunning photos!! We could not have had such a wonderful experience without her!! 10/10 would recommend!! Also, she includes so many photos at the end – worth every penny!! Thank you, Christine! Hopefully our paths will cross again soon!”
